Well, a season’s worth of blood, sweat, and tears culminates this Sunday with Super Bowl 43. As a Seahawks fan, I have to admit that making a pick in this game is a true challenge. I am loathe to pick the Steelers because they (and the refs) stole Super Bowl 40 from the Hawks. I have zero love for them. On the other hand, the Cardinals are the Seahawks’ NFC West rivals. How can I pull for them to succeed? I can’t! So it’s truly a very difficult choice. Instead of taking a “lesser of two evils” approach to picking the Super Bowl winner, I am going to make my pick the way I made all the rest of my picks this season – without emotion and with my gut. So here goes:

Super Bowl XLIII Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers

Even though I won’t be rooting for one team over the other, it should be a very entertaining game. I’m looking forward to it.

The NFL regular season is now over. Based on my picks over the course of the regular season, I correctly picked the winner 63.6% of the time. According to some reports online, even the most experienced Las Vegas NFL handicappers can only claim an accuracy rate in the range of 60% to 65%! Ha! Not bad for an amateur, eh?
